TVF would like to thank TVUSD Superintendent Douglas E. Price for his extraordinary dedication to our schools, teachers, staff, students, and families over the past six years. Dr. Price is retiring from TVUSD to accept a position with the Sacaton School District closer to his home in the Phoenix area.

During his tenure with TVUSD, Dr. Price has been a visionary leader, driving meaningful and lasting change to better our schools, and encouraging innovation at every level. TVF has particularly valued Dr. Price as a strategic partner to ensure our efforts to move our schools forward are aligned with practical considerations and big-picture goals. He has also personally contributed significant personal time and energy to support us in everything we do. We will miss him deeply and cannot express our thanks enough. We hope you will join us at Taste of Tanque Verde this Saturday to express your own thanks to Dr. Price.

In recognition of Dr. Price’s singular impact on our TVUSD community, TVF is delighted to announce the establishment of the Dr. Douglas E. Price Award for Innovation. This award will recognize a faculty member who has presented the most visionary, innovative, and impactful grant selected for funding in the annual TVF grant cycle. Contributions to the Dr. Douglas E. Price Award will be dedicated to funding the award-winning grant to the maximum extent possible, and both the staff member(s) submitting the request and the funded project itself will receive special recognition in TVF and district media.

The first Dr. Douglas E. Price Award winner will be chosen on May 12 during our 2015 Grant Selection meeting. Faculty members may submit grant requests until April 30, 2015 for consideration. If you need grant request information or would like to make a monetary contribution to the Price Award, please speak with a TVF board member, or contact us at president@157.230.72.155 for more information.
